Job Summary:
- Thoroughly examine dispensing devices to ensure established standards are met
- Test and verify meter calibration
- Verify accuracy of fuel dispensers by both monetary and volumetric indicators according to established procedures
- Responds to complaints in a timely manner
- Investigates consumer complaints concerning accuracy of pumping devices and prepares documentation as needed
- Attends meetings and training seminars for updates and information
- Interacts with all levels of the Department in a way that promotes respect, encourages cooperation, and contributes to excellent performance
- This position requires occasional overnight travel
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Must have valid Georgia driver’s license
- Must have clean driving record
- Must be able to back trailer
- Must have communication and customer service skills
- Maintain State vehicle and all equipment pertaining to job
- Be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- General knowledge of window operating systems and basic computer skills
- Basic mathematical skills
- High school diploma or GED required
- Selected applicants must reside or be willing to relocate within a reasonable distance of assigned territory
Physical Demands:
- Standing for long periods of time; intermittent periods of walking, squatting, kneeling, or driving
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs. for short periods of time.

Minimum Qualifications:
Vocational/Technical degree in agriculture, horticulture, environmental science, pest control, entomology or a closely related field from an accredited college AND Two years of experience in a directly related area OR Two years of college which included 12 semester hours or 20 quarter hours in chemistry or life sciences AND Two years of experience in a directly related area OR Two years of experience required at the lower level Agriculture Inspector 2 (RCT041) or position equivalent.Equal Employment Opportunity Employer
